Adaptation Scotland helped PAS (Planning Aid Scotland) use our Climate Ready Places resources to provide climate change adaptation training to their extensive network of volunteer planning specialists.

Scottish planning policy is an important mechanism in adapting to the impacts of climate change. Adaptation Scotland partnered with PAS to help raise awareness of these impacts in the planning community and to help build support mechanisms for communities to engage with climate action through local planning processes.

After investigating possible options for a partnership, Adaptation Scotland and PAS co-hosted a series of adaptation training workshops for PAS's network of specialist planning volunteers. Using our innovative Climate Ready Places resource we helped the volunteers understand how the challenges Scotland faces and how planners could help us move towards being a climate ready nation.
